OFFICE 189
EVERYTHING ARCHITECTURE – Brussels
A set of tables of the same height were placed on equally spaced concentric lines radiating out from the domed antechamber of Victor Horta’s Bozar building in Brussels. Each table presented models, perspectives or photographs of OFFICE work as both autonomous projects and integral parts of the exhibited collection. On the ground were a number of large-scale models alongside sculptures by various artists. These objects, combined with paintings and photographs hanging on the walls, negotiated the datum of the show, addressing issues of scale, composition, authorship and, ultimately, the ambiguity of presenting architecture within a constructed narrative. The exhibition was accompanied by a printed catalogue with project drawings and information on the artwork.
