POLDER VILLA – Eemnes
Set in the midst of a polder landscape in the Netherlands, the villa is a low square volume with each side measuring 35m. Four central openings in the facade offer glimpses into the circular courtyard in the middle of the square. The interior is a continuously looping space, loosely populated by furniture, with bathrooms, stairs, a patio and a pool set into the four corners. The radiating colonnade is formed by fin walls, which occasionally extrude to organise the plan and establish separate rooms closed off by sliding doors.
