PROPAGANDA – Brussels
The Vision for Brussels exhibition, proposing the city as the best possible capital of Europe, was installed in a corridor of Victor Horta’s Bozar building. While maintaining the proportions of the existing space, a sequence of three regular enclosures with aligned openings was inserted into the irregular enfilade. The room in the middle served as a connecting passage between the other two, which contained the main elements of the exhibition – a video and a model of the city. The enclosure walls, constructed of canvases stretched on wooden frames, were fitted into a modular framework of flat black steel bars. Exposing the reverse side of the enclosures, as if they were cut out from the existing spaces, underlined the prominence of the white interiors.
