AWC 7 – ATTRIBUTED PERSPECTIVES
In June 2014, we undertook a trip with San Rocco and Bas Princen to see everything (supposedly) attributed to Bramante. Buildings we did not particularly like were judged not to be by Bramante, and buildings we were convinced about, we fully endorsed. Fragments of a very different kind were considered – models and details, corners and windows, real ruins and fake ruins... The trip started in Milan and ended in Rome, and along the road we visited Vigevano, Pavia, Roccaverano, Urbino, Perugia, Todi and Genazzano. Everywhere a trace of the master was discernible, we set foot. But apart from the scientific evidence, if there was any, what was the method used to determine Bramante’s authenticity?
